My Journey
Hola! I'm Alonso
My story begins early—making my TV debut at 11 alongside Juan La Rivera, a spark that ignited a lifelong passion for communication. By 14, I was captivating 700 people as a Master of Ceremonies, and at 23, I took on my first institutional sales challenge, reintegrating the Chilean Armed Forces into university life through contests, lectures, and media appearances.
Life threw curveballs—I went from representing prestigious institutions, mingling with Presidents and intellectuals, to starting anew as a busboy in uncharted territory. That resilience shaped me. In Florida, I hosted my own radio and TV shows, blending media with purpose. I supported U.S. Congress members in Hispanic-focused campaigns, amplifying voices that matter.
Then came the big leagues. I stepped out of my comfort zone to lead Getty Images in Latin America, growing it into a powerhouse. Specializing in visual content, I later joined Shutterstock, retiring after 9.5 years as the #4 global leader in year-over-year account growth—celebrating my first million USD in sales within 10 months, a milestone I proudly shared online.
From there, I spoke at top events across the USA, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and Brazil, inspiring audiences with insights from media and strategy. As a hobby, I built a daily news radio program, broadcast by over 500 stations in Latin America. After a reflective hiatus—writing, interviewing, editing—I’m back, ready to dive into enterprise solutions with a world-class brand.
This journey, filled with impactful moments, defines who I am: a communicator, a strategist, and a believer in what’s possible.
